About Dejah Gomez
Singer. Author. Speaker. Transformational Artist.
Dejah Gomez is a vocalist, author, speaker and transformational artist whose life’s work explores the power of voice — not simply sound, but as identity, expression and a pathway to freedom.
Three Decades of Music & Performance
For more than three decades, Dejah has built a career on stages around the world—moving between theatre, concert halls, television, luxury entertainment and some of music’s most celebrated artists. From three companies of Disney’s The Lion King to performing alongside Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Kanye West, Michael Bolton, Chris Botti, Jennifer Hudson, Kelis, Sting, Smokey Robinson, and Peabo Bryson, her voice has carried her into extraordinary rooms and across genres, cultures and continents.
But the deeper story of Dejah’s career is not simply who she has performed with or where she has performed. It is what three decades of using her own voice taught her about what it means to be heard. Behind the stages, accolades and extraordinary opportunities was an evolving understanding: voice is more than talent. It is identity. It carries memory, courage, truth and the freedom to fully inhabit who we are.
From Performer to Empress of Sound
Over time, the stage became more than a place to perform. It became a place of inquiry. What allows one person to express themselves freely while another silences, edits or abandons their voice? What happens when we stop performing who we think we should be and begin expressing who we actually are? These questions became the bridge between Dejah’s life as a professional vocalist and her work today.
That evolution became You Are a Walking Song—Dejah’s philosophy and invitation to recognize that every life carries its own rhythm, story and sound. It also became Vocal Ascension™, her signature body of work devoted to helping people reclaim the voice beneath fear, conditioning and self-doubt. Here, the lessons of the stage meet the deeper work of identity: breath becomes a bridge, sound becomes a doorway, and technique serves something greater—the courage to be fully expressed.
The Empress of Sound
Today, Dejah brings these worlds together as The Empress of Sound—an artist, author, speaker and creator whose work is rooted in one central belief: your voice is not something you earn permission to use. It is something you remember. Whether she is performing onstage, speaking to an organization, guiding someone through Vocal Ascension or creating music of her own, the invitation remains the same: to return to the truth of your own sound and have the courage to let it be heard.
Your Voice Is Already Within You
The next chapter begins with allowing it to be heard.
